MIS is a private, co-educational day school, licensed by the Omani Ministry of Education to deliver the English national curriculum alongside Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies from the Omani curriculum, to students of all nationalities in the KG to Grade 12 age range. MIS strives for excellence to lead in the field of educating young adults for the world of tomorrow.

House System:

In line with our enrichment program we run a school wide House system.

Within this system we promote leadership in the upper grades with house captains, and vice captains, who are responsible for helping to organise and support a range of activities, events and developing a culture of sportsmanship and team spirit within the Primary section.

Through the house system we also promote a culture of cooperation and shared learning through various activities such as sports day; maths and science quiz.

In addition to this, students have a chance on a daily basis to promote their house by earning points through exemplifying good behaviour and/or academic achievement.

The four Houses are named after four regions within the Sultanate of Oman:

  • Jabrin - Red

  • Dhofar - Yellow

  • Buraimi - Blue

  • Masirah - Green
